It's been a few exciting weeks and I've been enthralled by the way you girls have worked on your project of making a video on 'Homelessness'. I would love for you to share your productive teamwork experiences with others. A few points to include are:

Wow! Just look at my girls. Art lessons??? You are so wrong. It's a test- Yes- the formative assessment that was generated from the Aim High Program given to the students during summer. The Yr 9 students were asked to read 'THE HOBBIT'. The tasks for the asessment were as below:

•Make a mind map of the various important characters in the book.

•Design a leaflet on the various themes of the novel.

•Design a poster promoting the work of the author.

•Create a comic strip of any scene from the story.

•Make a presentation on the plot summary and various characters of the book.

•Write a sequel of the story.

•Do a radio/ magazine interview with the author.

•Give a different ending to the story.

 

The students could choose any one task and work in groups to accomplish the task. It was a pleasure watching them at task.

Welcome back to the new year everyone. It is wonderful to have you all back in my class and I am looking forward to an exciting and challenging academic year.

Our main focus this year is to prepare ourselves for Check Point exams as well as set a strong foundation for IGCSE by achieving the three Cs; Credibility, Clarity and Comprehension

As we take yet another step towards our goal it is important to set your individual targets. So let's see each one of you share your targets on this blog and together we will work towards reaching it.
