Team work to me is when a group of people work together as a team. Most people may be used to doing things on their own, team work will help you make new friends, get other veiws to help you when you have to think of something for a given task. It will also help you in getting many points. Some drawbacks that you might recieve while working with others may be, you don't agree with each other, you have different point of veiws, different personalities, don't like a person in your team...etc. Before making our video, we researched homelessness, just to help us get a good veiw of what it really is, how many numbers of them, what the homeless do on a daily basis and what they suffer mostly. I learnt that there are many homeless people out there in the real world that need help. I would love to contribute to helping the homeless. I would donate money to charities and get people including myself to get them off the streets and into shelters, where they can clean up,learn how to live a normal life and get jobs so that they can earn their own money and buy their very own things.

The project we did on homelessness was enjoyable and very entertaining! We did a lot of team work which made it even better. We listened to each other and co-operated we each other as well.
ReplyDeleteWe did have some arguments but they were not something huge. Before our video, we looked up on how homeless people dressed so we would look like them, but sadly in our first video it did not work out. However, in our second video we succeed! I actually learnt a lot in just one video. I learnt how homelessness actually is, which is quite heartbroken to see.
YES! I would love to contribute! I will give all my old clothes to charity! For their lives to become better (:

According to me team work is concept of group of students working together coorperatively to get the best outcome . Personally speaking it is a very sensible concept because it combines ideas from numerous mind who aim to accomplish a common goal. Some benefits of team work are : it allows us to take a greater responsibity for making the rights decison which satisfies all the other team members , it also leads to a more rewarding work , we can also be flexible with all the students and we will be well trained how to work with each other and how to compromise , in addition to that we wont feel uncomfortable working with anyone . On the other hand there are some drawbacks about team work . firstly there are times when we absolutely disagree with the other howeveryou realy cannot do anything about it . Seconly some members may dominate the discussion but you still have to cope with it and finally time consumption ! Before doing our research on homelessness we read through some diary entries of homeless people to comprehend better about their lifestyles and feelings , and it realy did help . I learned several things while doing the video and some of them are that : appreciate what you have before you loose it all & that team work is personally a better idea since work is divided equally and can be done very fast , and also brings a better outcome! It would be a pleasure to help the needy and give their rights , everybody has the rights to be happy and loved , i would like to give away my clothes which are still in good condition and some books for them to read :D

My understanding of team work is when a group of people work together to achieve a similar goal in unity and respect. I personally think this has a lot of benefits that results in amazing and inspirational work. Team work always allows all the members of the team to express their thoughts, opinions and views of how a certain activity should be carried out and then compromising in a reasonable way and in everyone likes. This kind of co-operation often leads to pleasant outcomes as there are specific people in charge of each detail and the project is well planned out. However there can also be draw backs such as Inco-operative members. One of the difficulties we faced was the venue and finding a suitable date on which we were all available. After showing the class our first video and receiving comments we realized that statistics really do help make a point so we researched about the number of homeless people. This really was shocking and it finally dawned on us just how bad the situation was. I personally think that while making this video was fun it was also a journey of realization. We are blessed with so many things that others are not privileged enough to have. If it were in my hands I would have weekly fund raisers and have sanctuary’s built for the homeless and ensure they received the proper care and nutrition.

In my opinion I believe team work is the collaboration between certain individuals and how they each contribute to a particular form of project. Moreover, team work showcases the effectiveness on how well a group of people can cooperate together.
ReplyDeleteHowever, there are certain circumstances where any particular team member can come to a disagreement with the outline of the project and this causes a huge dilemma to the rest of the group and is forced to recreate an alternative base where everyone would be satisfied. On the contrary, there are several other cases where a team needs to reconsider the rest of the audience.
Furthermore, basically we conjured up an original story on a particular person where any ordinary individual can mentally and physically connect to even if it isn't in relation to their own experiences. In addition, to remark on what I have acknowledge while compiling our ideas is the feeling of true hardship towards team work because honestly speaking, I prefer individual work despite being deferential and willing to contribute in a group.
Overall, I assure of my understanding towards homelessness and would someday hope to accommodate and help the homeless through spreading awareness, creating a cause, or make additional videos which hopefully goes viral!!!

"Talent wins games but teamwork and intelligence wins championships." Michael Jordan. Teamwork to me is working together as a group with my fellow group mates on the given task and to discuss and compromise on how are we going to get it done and brainstorm on how we're going to do it, who does what, what resources are needed. All the team members needs to contribute to make it teamwork, not just one person do the work while the others sit and watch.
ReplyDeleteThe benefits of teamwork is that there is a lot of ideas being discussed on different ways of how to do the task and the communication between the team mates is good and their organized and each one knows what is expected from them. While working on the given task there is a tremendous amount of support, skills and creativity.
However teamwork has its drawbacks. Sometimes there will be an argument or a disagreement about certain ideas or what's mentioned, but everybody has their own opinion about the ideas. There also might be a lack of communication. Not everybody is contributing on the task, they are just off doing their own thing and when the time runs out and they realize it they all become diligent to get the work done.
The research our group has done was about: What is homelessness?, What does it mean to be homeless?, and the statistics that shows how many men, women, and children become homeless each year and the many reasons to why they become homeless?
The important thing that I learned while making this video was: To be grateful for what you and to be thankful for all the wonderful people around me that I can call friends and family. Sometimes we carry on in life and take it for granted. Nothing in life is for free, it comes with a price to pay. Be grateful for what you have because one day it might get taken away from you.
I would most certainly contribute to homelessness by creating awareness and spreading the word to help and reduce homelessness.
To me , team work is the combined action of all the members to give an efficient output .
ReplyDeleteTeam work is helpful as all the members can make decisions, solve problems, provide support, accomplish missions, and plan their work. Members agree that they must work together to achieve the goal . I personally go with the idea of teamwork.
Sometimes , there is unequal participation , arguements between the team members as everyone have their own ideas and at some instances few members do not get credit for what they have done .
We looked through many cases which people have gone through , we saw videos based on homelessness to get a better idea about it. In fact , I understood more about homelessness by doing a research about it .
One of the things I've learnt is that 'homelessness' is a very important issue in the world and we should help them out in whatever way we can . Lastly , we should appreciate the things we have in life .
Yes I would personally love to contribute . I would like to start a campaign to spread the awareness about Homelessness , so that everyone comes to know what the homeless people are going through and help them in every possible way ....
Personally, I regard wisdom to be obtained by the collaboration and the interaction of students striving to work together - a concept called teamwork. Teamwork is playing to our strengths, a kind of 'individual commitment' to the task, which eventually merges into one.
ReplyDeleteThe amalgamation of various angles and judgments on a particular subjects can produce an exceptional work as it will not be biased or narrow-minded. Teamwork calls for tolerance of others and learning how to converse professionally on one subject, without disputing. It is the acceptance of the notion that you are not the best, but equal, amidst your classmates.
Being an autonomous student, I frequently find it challenging to be dependent on a team effort. It leads to anxiety over copious matter - for example, if one does not participate, everyone must pay the price and make up the lost actions. Though contributions may be valued, disputes easily separate us from our goal. All in a team cannot be notified of certain alterations made to the project, therefore creating confusion when communicating. Furthermore, arranging a revenue causes dilemmas if we cannot choose a suitable day.
The research we did mainly revolved around the homeless people's emotions, tales of grief and the dangers they encountered. We assessed the statistics to choose what to include in our video - such as drug abuse, alcoholics and reasons why homeless people turned to living on the streets. Not only did we research about homelessness, however, we viewed some inspirational videos on Youtube to study the format and the ideas which grasped the audience attention - endeavoring to create one truly moving short-film. Eventually, subsequent to hard work, we did produce an original piece!
I became conscious of not just the intrepid path homeless people follow, however, the emotions relating to the subject at hand. While acting, I could not comprehend that this was reality. Making the video was a standpoint on what I vowed to make a change in the lives of the millions of homeless people in the world. I most certainly will spread awareness of homelessness and encourage (in the community) money to be donated for the benefit of the homeless people.
To conclude, I rigorously stand by the quote (by an unknown author):
"Teamwork divides the task and multiplies the success."
“The strength of the team is each individual member. The strength of each member is the team.” To me teamwork is an art; the knack of working together and getting things done despite our different opinions and perspectives. Working together gives the best results with our tasks divided and successes multiplied.
ReplyDeleteWhen successful teamwork prevails, innovation skyrockets. With copious ideas and conceptions from different individuals, our work becomes effortless. Moreover, with teamwork, comes efficiency. The completion of a task is brisk and work is much more organized. Nevertheless, teamwork has its flaws. Arguments can prevail when everyone has different opinions. They think that their ideas might be incomparable or the most appropriate. At times, leaders of a group tend to dominate over the others, which also has negative effects over members of the team.
For our video, the research work was heavily based on statistics and homelessness around the world. Personally, I was flabbergasted after seeing those numbers! I didn't realize how prevalent homeless was. Also, while filming the video, we needed to sit on the pavement at times. Even after a few minutes, we would start feeling uncomfortable. That's when I thought of the homeless people and how painful it must be to sleep on hard stone. One thing is for sure, we should always be thankful for what we have as there are others who are not privileged like us.
Therefore, I would love to help the ones in need. I will to spread awareness to alert everyone around. I also think that more shelters should be made for the homeless. Furthermore, we can start by helping the homeless individuals around us.
-Safa
Teamwork is a very meaningful thing to everyone. When my group made the project about homelessness, everyone of us participated in every part of it! When we brought up the information, we all mentioned what we wanted and we put all our ideas and hardwork to finish our video, it was a cordial experience working with everybody and helping and putting in our efforts. Although we went through some disagreements about some things, but we made it through, that’s the spirit of teamwork! When you are all working together, its exciting and lively. Its all about contributions and communications, we all encourage each other; and, everyone has different skills, we all get to contribute what we’ve got to create something creative.
ReplyDeleteBenefits. There are lots of benefits about team work. When we all participate and cooperate with each other, its a lot more easier to present a meaningful piece of work, we all work together.. We all learn new things while working in a group, we experience how everything is and we all support each other… its just charming and fascinating!
We made a research about the topic before we started and that helped a lot in making the video like about how a homeless person struggles and faces his or her problems, we came up with unique ideas and points, we put in endless efforts; that’s because we wanted our group’s video to show the people how homelessness is, we grew an image in their minds on how a homeless person lives.
As a group, we all learnt new things about our topic and making this video, It was a very nice empiricism and experience and I would like to contribute in helping the homeless by donating clothes , money, food, etc.. not only me, but we all need to help homeless people because what they are going through is hard enough already.
-Roaa Ataya (9G3)
"Team work" just 2 simple words, yet has so many complex meanings behind it. What is teamwork? How would you define it? Well, teamwork for me is defined as a group of powerful, enthusiastic members working as one, making any task possible. In short, it is a combination of various talents put together, enhancing the quality of a task.
ReplyDeleteWorking in a team, makes tasks easier, it involves generating copious ideas, furthermore improving them in various ways. The benefits of teamwork are uncountable, but here are few which I think would be relevant to mention:
-Sharing work makes it faster, as well as easier to make a final product. We know this, as the video my group made would have been impossible to do with one person. It took a lot of hard work and talents of various members to complete it.
-When you work in a group, possibly with your friends, a dull task becomes extravagant and fun to do, basically it motivates you, to do better work, which will satisfy you. Let’s take an example from our video, we were working with our friends and didn’t realize how time went by, we were also less exhausted doing it with friends, as your working in addition having fun.
-Working in big numbers, makes the quality of a particular task stand out! So it gives you, much more innovative work as a final piece. To support this I have a quote.“ Individually we are one drop, together we are an ocean.”
-It makes you much more social and gives you a sense of “all for one and one for all”.
But, with so many advantages comes its disadvantages! Working in a group may be one of a spectacular idea, but then come the arguments you have with your fellow friends, for various reasons, this can drastically de-motivate you, but all this is tend to happen if you want flawless work!
We did a lot of research before completing our final task; we included statistics, and direct information on homelessness, to our viewers. This took a lot of work, as it was difficult to find information .Our source of information was the internet.
From this video I learned, not to take anything for granted, everything we have is priceless and many people do not even have the simple accommodations’ we have today.
I want to do several things to help the homeless and I would love to start with charity work, so we can stand by the homeless and support them.
Thankyou,
Simran Rajani 9-G2
Team work is really important as we all can make decision, support each other, give each other opinion and get better results. I personally would always like to share my ideas and get help from my team members so i can get more ideas.
ReplyDeleteThe benefits of them work is that there are many different things been discussed and we can help each other if we make any mistakes and learn from them.
Team work also has it own drawback, Sometimes we make argument about what is mentioned as we all have different opinion.
The research our group has done about homeless, was about how they feel on the streets, how many men, women, children become homeless every year and the reason!
What I have learnt is that everything in this life is so precious, we should be so thankful about what we have, we have so much that many other people don’t and that’s really painful!
I would do several things to help the homeless people, give them a list a shelter if I could! Even a small piece of bread so that they can survive, better clothing and way more things....
Thank you

ReplyDeleteTEAM… Together. Everyone. Achieves. More.
ReplyDeleteTo me, Teamwork is all about the prudent steps taken by a coterie working hand in hand, led by a sole soul. It is the unprecedented journey towards the ultimate goal, where it rises on the horizon like the sun- be it clear or fazed- and our complete odyssey on this paved path (which is vulnerable to being invaded). When I am part of a team. I tend to feel slightly more content with the work completed. The presence of teammates around you will be overwhelming, as you will be able to share the joy of success, or maybe even remorse, but we learn from it together.
Teamwork ensures that the work consists of a broader array and perspective of the topic as there are multiple minds working on the same concept, resulting in mass productivity and prompt points.
As the renowned Henry Ford once eloquently stated, “Coming together is a beginning. Keeping together is progress. Working together is success.” Teamwork also breeds friendship. Or does it? When a bunch of ten humans come up with ten different ideas, all the ideas cannot be easily comprised, and upon frequent occasions, we are left with no choice but to choose just one. Most might be able to gather the will to move with the selected idea, whereas the others would feel left behind and ignored. Worst case scenario, if a left-behind human feels frustrated enough to opt for conflict, then the entire team splits into two, as the other eight will now take sides. But the above description portrays only what terrible teamwork can tote along, however, learning to deal with petty matters of this sort, and moving forward as mature people is the key here: this is what we learnt during our team experience.
Look-outs for the right treasure to put in our treasure chest began when we got out information off of versatile sources including the internet and encyclopaedias to put in our video. We ended up mainly with statistics and good-to-know information although we made an addition by putting in a play. We included other features of the English language, like poems!
“Poverty is a weapon of mass destruction. Homelessness is a weapon of mass destruction. Unemployment is a weapon of mass destruction.” -Dennis Kucinich
When our minds are shielded from the consternation that revolves around the homeless and helpless, we realise nothing- in fact, we are illiterate about the routine ordeals that others on par with us face. The statistics and facts that were delineated in our video would open your eyes to the true petrifying world out there, and since our eyes are left open, we would have the urge to help the unfortunate so that we can at least blink.

Delete“Individually, we are one drop. Together, we are an ocean…” Personally, I believe that teamwork means striving to accomplish a goal together, like a colony of ants endeavoring to build a commodious nest. Carried out by pooling ideas and motivating each other to put in transcendent efforts, I consider it to be an invaluable opportunity to strengthen relationships and bond with diverse peers through work while accepting and tolerating different perspectives… Working as a team has taught me that none of us is as smart as all of us.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion, one of the most valued outcomes of teamwork is efficiency. A formidable assignment can be broken down and assigned to people most suited for each task, hence saving time and energy while giving unrivaled results in each area. However, if one person fails to produce their work, the team as a whole will face adversity. Furthermore, contrasting personal styles and unequal participation might stir up acrimony within the group, stagnating productivity… Having an individualistic personality, I found myself groaning inwardly at any mention of teamwork - not so long ago. However, collaborating with my cooperative, convivial comrades cultivated a love for working together as one within me, and overall, improved my social and communicative skills.
For our video, we researched on different aspects of homelessness including the reasons which might cause people to end up on the streets, the mentality and disposition of the homeless, the dangers they might risk encountering, and of course, the stunning, staggering statistics regarding the numbers of ‘street people’. Abashed from the information we gathered and the stark contrast between their lives and ours, I realized that we take a lot of things we possess for granted. Additionally, I learnt that we should not judge the homeless superficially, as there might be disturbing, ominous reasons behind their situation.
Subsequent to the video, I questioned myself: Shouldn’t it be our duty, as the more privileged, to stand up for the rights of the homeless? I decided to start by showing compassion and empathy towards the homeless and advocating awareness. A basic yet crucial step towards building a better future for them. In the future, I would like to inaugurate a non-profit organization dedicated towards aiding the homeless and providing them with employment. After all, small steps can help make a big difference…
In my notion, the word ‘teamwork’ does not simply signify a group of people working together to complete a task. Instead, ‘Teamwork’ is a concept of individuals with different ideas and personalities collaborate to create a piece of work, one that combines each member’s thoughts and uniqueness together. Moreover, the final piece reflects how well a team worked as one.
ReplyDeleteWorking in a team allow us to collect diversified opinions, gather greater amount of considerations as well as organize a sophisticated plan. Allocating positions effectively shortens the entire process and each member can share workload. In addition, teammates can always compensate one another’s short coming. To wrap up, working together makes things much more effortless in integral.
Sometimes, working with others can be adverse. Lack of communication or inappropriate plans effects the rate of progress. At the same time, arguments and noncooperation are likely to take place. Different opinions and judgments lead to conflicts – the biggest drawback of teamwork.
In order to present our video effectively, research were done accordingly, including real-life stories, thoughts of the homelessness / politicians around the globe, latest statistics, consequences and lot more.
While making the video, we were all flabbergasted to the shocking facts. We all truly felt obliged of what we have while thousands are starving and dying every second. We also realized and discovered that the problem became far more serious than most of us thought. It is one of the biggest issue the entire human race face but no one seem to bother.
I certainly would love to contribute to help in every single way I could. I believe we could start by joining activities, donating and create awareness of the homelessness. It’s time to make a change and it’s never too late to lend a hand.

DeleteTo me Teamwork is a group of people coming together and working as one.
ReplyDeleteEvery team will always face some difficulties, no matter what age the people are or what the team does but all that counts is the result you get at the end.
At points we all disagree on something, or sometimes we get upset and even mad that the idea we have said wasn't liked by the others and wont't be used ,but then again you can't always have it your way. In spite of those drawbacks the benefits of working in a team are a lot more important. Each one of us contributes ideas and even if they aren't that great you will have your team mates to help you out and show you a better way. It's all about supporting one another and coming up with the best result.
The research work and the video was done together all at once. We just put our heads to it and tried coming up with the best ideas and great information, well Google helped with the information a bit.It was shocking to find out what a huge percentage of the world is homeless and how we don't do anything to stop it. Just imagine not having a warm bed, or delicious food and worse of all being there all on your own without anyone to help you.
Making Homelessness something we are more aware of won't be easy especially in a city like Dubai but if we find a way of doing something that can help then I would be more than happy to contribute my ideas.
In my opinion teamwork means working together to achieve a common goal.
ReplyDeleteThe benefits are having multiple ideas/choices so the outcome would probably be better working in a team rather than individually .
One of the most common drawbacks is deciding on which idea will be used or who is to be in charge .
For our first vide we did not really do any research but in class during feedback time we were advised to add in some statistics so we researched the amount of homeless people and how many were male or female, etc.
While making this video I learned that we take so much for granted, while these people spend everyday suffering on the streets. The worst is that we as individuals usually do nothing about it.
I would definitely like to help by donating to charities, spreading awareness and directly donating by giving money to almost any homeless person I would come by.

ReplyDeleteTeamwork for me is several people working together. The result in the end is much better than what you would get as an individual.
ReplyDeleteTeams generate special energy. In teams, we can distribute workload and also make better decisions. You get support as when people work together in a team they tend to build bonds between each other and also encouragement. And in teamwork the work becomes creative.
Working in team also has drawbacks. The biggest drawback is that you don't get enough credit, even if the project goes well. Different opinions can cause arguments, unequal workloads.
The research work for the video was done by all of us. We took different points from each of us and put them together.
While making the video we got to know that a huge amount of people in the world are homeless, and we don't even know. We just sit back and enjoy our luxurious lives not caring about those people.
I would love to help the homeless. It won't be possible here but in my country Pakistan,we can see many homeless people around. So i would do all it takes to help them.
Teamwork for me is all about accepting other people's opinions, and working together as a team to achieve something. A team can never be a team unless all the people in it are capable of working together, because if one fails, everyone else fails too.
ReplyDeleteOne thing I admire about working together as a group is, that you always have someone by your side weather you fail or win. Furthermore, knowing someone else's point of view about something helps you to enhance the quality of the final product. But that's not it,there are many more advantages of working as a group, and it's amazing how much you can accomplish when it doesn't matter who gets the credit.
Just like everything else, working as a team has its own drawbacks as well. One of it is, having disagreements with your fellow peers or team mates, which lead to arguments. These arguments tends to break the togetherness of the team, which makes it impossible to work as a group. Which is why we all should learn to appreciate and accept other people's opinions regarding matters.
Before making the video we all did a research on homelessness, and we tried to unearth more about the topic by going through few statistics. I was left completely flabbergasted. It was devastating to know how serious this matter actually is, and how many people suffer because of this. I remember trying to picture myself as a homeless person, and how just the thought of being homeless made me shudder.
For me, this project was not 'just another' project, in fact it was one of those projects, that made me glad to be part of. It made me realize how lucky I am to be where I am today, it made me grateful for everything I have, and taught me not to take everything in life for granted.
I would be more than happy to contribute and help the homeless, in every way I could. In my opinion, we could all help by creating awareness, and donating various things to the homeless, which hopefully, makes their life easier, and less painful. It's about time someone stands up for the homeless people's rights, and together we can make a change!

‘Leadership is needed to assemble a team of renegades- people with the right mix of passion and courage to be willing to do things that haven't been done before.' Scott Lutz
ReplyDeleteI think this quote summarizes what the definition of teamwork is to me. It is not just working together or co-operating with each other - though these are contributing factors - but it is about bringing together copious ideologies and principles all under one roof towards an unambiguous and definite direction. It is the amalgamation of an assortment of diverse personalities who reach for a goal as one.
When coming to the beneficial side of teamwork, it is difficult to stop writing so I am just going to list some of the most accentuated ,highlighted and annotated characteristics :
1. Speed - ingenious, resourceful and unique ideas in no time making it faster to reach a fixed goal
2. Satisfaction – When each member interacts with each other, unbiased and productive results are brought forth, which positively impacts motivation and leads to even more success.
3. Support - building up bonds, mentally induces people to go to extreme lengths when they know they can confidently rely on the support and cheers from their team.
4. Encouragement - various talents and abilities can make a productive team but when ones strengths can back – up another’s weakness encouragement can evolve.
5. Innovation – when successful teamwork prevails, innovation increases.
6. Unity – one of the most important is the sense of unity that accompanies a positive work environment and promotes a sense of togetherness.
7. Creativity – everyone has different skills, knowledge and personal attributes. These lead to a remarkable, noteworthy and tremendous end results.
Though the drawbacks of teamwork are attitude based, there can be difficult and strenuous situations where you find your fellow team-mate unmanageable, disobliging and just plain arduous. But these are just trivial problems faced by not only those in a team but by everybody, even whenever you meet someone whose ideas and/or terminologies contradict yours.
Many of the research done were from versatile resources like internet and encyclopaedias. We put together this statistics and well-to-know basis with a mixture of our ideas and point of view towards Homelessness.
From this activity, things I learnt were times a 10 I have ever acknowledged but I find the most important one of how much conscious I am of myself in a homeless situation. Just to imagine at a state of homelessness nearly deprives me of sleep .while making this video, even through the fun and easiness of making it with my closest of friends didn’t lessen the thought of how they suffer.
There isn’t a question of whether I would help the homeless people. Spreading awareness, donating to charity, encouraging others; I will try my level best to help even though doing that in a place like Dubai is rather difficult.
I would like to conclude with thanks to my team mates and especially Ms.Debbie, who set up this opportunity for me to acquire and achieve so much especially my video-making skills...
To me, teamwork is working together in a logical manner with a group of others in order to accomplish a specific goal. As a team, each individual must cooperate with one another and suggest ideas and thoughts. As a group you must brainstorm and plan together as a team. Teamwork is a very effective way of working; the finished product must be a combined effort from the whole group.
ReplyDeleteThere are many benefits from teamwork, but also some drawbacks. Some benefits are that the amount of work is distributed amongst each individual within the team; leaving you with less to do in such a time. Each group member will have different opinions and ideas’, so learning to not be judgmental during teamwork is key. By using each person’s opinions and ideas you can combine all ideas and create one effective idea. There can also be some drawbacks to teamwork, not everyone will agree with each other’s designs and concepts, leaving someone annoyed because they don’t like the idea. This is where the group needs to justify everyone’s ideas to fit into one efficient idea. Someone within the group may dislike someone else in the group, choosing not to collaborate with them. This can be a drawback the team faces, which they must resolve.
As I was not there when my team was filming the main parts of the video I was not able to do the research with them due to being sick. However, during a part where I was able to help my team I learned that being patient and listening to one another is fundamental. Working as a team, we achieved our goal within the time given. During this experience I learned that homelessness is an immense matter which should have more awareness.
I would help the homeless whenever I had the chance, I would not even give it a thought, and my answer would automatically be a yes. No one deserves to be homeless; no one deserves to sleep outside alone in the hot or cold. However living in a city such as Dubai, it is a little difficult to help. Nevertheless, if I was living in a country where I knew there was a homeless shelter I would warmly lend a helping hand; giving out food and other essentials homeless people would not have access to.

TOGETHER WE CAN! The essence of this statement is defined as Teamwork. From my perspective, teamwork is a group of people who work alongside each other, with a mutual sense of unity and respect, and are in the interests of a shared goal. Often, the end product reflects how well the team worked as one.
ReplyDeleteTeamwork. This is a process. Sometimes a difficult one, especially if there are members of the group who are at odds with each other. Yet, it is a necessary process in the achievement of goals. This is why individual members have to set aside personal differences so they can work in harmony.
As the saying goes: “No one can whistle a symphony. It takes a whole orchestra to play it.” Even the best-qualified individual cannot have all the skills to do everything. Some people excel at coming up with innovative ideas. Others love the miniscule details while there are those who focus on the big picture. There are others who can be counted on when it comes to implementing and the follow through of a plan.
The key point is when a team works together, it has a huge range of skills available that it can utilize to deliver extraordinary results.
Moreover, I firmly believe that teamwork promotes unity, rapport, and bonding. When people work together, they are able to give and take, help and support, and guide one another because the main focus is to accomplish their mission. After all, “There is no "I" in "TEAMWORK.”
However, like most things, teamwork has its drawbacks. One of the challenges that a team faces, is dealing with various personalities of people in the team. Some may be introverts while others are extroverts. Some may be output driven, while some may be people-driven.
To my surprise, this challenge is also one of the teams strengths. By the very definition of teamwork, it is a collection of individuals with various personality traits. This can actually contribute to various points of view and help formulate a better approach to the problems on hand.
Prior to our video, we delved into an extensive research task. Our findings were nothing short of appalling...
We discovered, that in present days, we have a sense that homelessness is largely if not entirely, their own fault and so there is little need to consider the societal factors that lead to homelessness; let alone actively doing something about those factors. As this stigma sets in it becomes socially normalized to simply ignore homelessness.
Furthermore, I’ve learned that nobody likes to confront human suffering. Yet to live in a bustling, industrial city is to be confronted with the reality of homelessness on a regular basis. We are surrounded by a staggering juxtaposition of extreme wealth and extreme poverty and think pretty much nothing of it outside a mild annoyance or disgust at the travesty of having to walk quickly past a beggar without making eye contact.
There is need to increase our aid for these people both to help them get back on their feet and to minimize the factors that lead to homelessness in the first place. I would most certainly contribute to homeless on the street, and I plan on doing this by volunteering at a local organization that benefits the less privileged ( Such as VSERVU ) creating awareness among the community, and offering donations to those in need.
Remember, TOGETHER WE CAN!

To me, teamwork is working with a group of people in order to achieve something. Each person has to contribute by providing feedback and co-operating.
ReplyDeleteThe benefits of teamwork are that every individual has skills and talents so there will be more creativity in your work. Another benefit is that you could get your work done faster as you are splitting the task between the members of your group. Group work can also build up relationship with peers. Some of the drawbacks with teamwork are that everyone has their own opinions and different personalities so you will have to deal with that. Another drawback is that due to disagreements, your decisions could get delayed and cause fights.
My group and I researched on the topic of homelessness, also about the lives of the homeless, what they do every day, and the clothes they wear. While making the video, I learnt that the topic homelessness is causing deaths, suicide, depression, and loneliness to most of the homeless people.
I would like to contribute to helping the homeless by creating awareness!

When you score a goal, hit a home run or get a touchdown, you don't do it for yourself, you do it for the team. Like that, the name at the front of the team shirt matters more than the name at the back of the shirt. Teamwork for me, means more than just accomplishing a project or reaching a goal. It's a sort of training, as wherever you go or whatever post you secure in life, teamwork is always going to be involved. What better place to get the training than at school?
ReplyDeleteThe benefits teamwork gives you are somethings you are always going to need, wherever you go.It teaches you how to open your mind to new ideas, put aside your ego and work towards an united goal, always taking steps that will benefit the team.I don't think there are any drawbacks concerning teamwork. Sure, you may have to deal with different sorts of people, some inspiring and some that get under your skin. But its all part and parcel of the learning experience.
We did a lot of wide spread research before piecing the whole video together. We viewed several resources and picked the best and most accurate information we could find.
One thing I learned during the production of this video was definitely how a team really works and despite all the bumps and blocks we faced and whether at some point of time we desperately wanted to choke a couple of people, you feel so amazing when you finally view the final project and how things pieced together. I think its best to say that you should always look forward to that amazing feeling, even when the goal looks blurry and you have no idea where you are headed. This applies not only for school projects but for anything kind of team related work.
I would definitely love to contribute to help the homeless, especially in the regions where you have a economic crisis going on or a civil war, as they really need that pick up during such dark times. Its small things in life, like the joy of helping one homeless person, that takes up a big space in our and their hearts.

Team work: many definitions and explanations could be used to describe these two meaningful, yet simple words. Although, if I had to compress this short phrase into one answer, I would say that it means creating an amazing situation, piece of work, or even a moment with the input of not just one person – a group of like-minded people.
ReplyDeleteThe benefits of team work could also mean a bunch of ideas, though I’ll only mention a couple. Team work teaches you how to make your ideas come alive, it makes you learn how to genuinely work together with other people - not just those closest to you - and it also allows the humble, but significant, ideas each member has to combine with one another to create something fantastic! While there are many benefits, drawbacks are inevitable. The drawbacks could consist of merely not getting along well with your group, not being able to contact or get together with your group, and the final end product may not satisfy each one’s personal opinion of what the product should have been.
The research our team conducted included collecting various facts and figures from our loved source, Google. Although many of the precise statistics had to be properly explored, masses of our inquiries where discovered from our complex minds, such as the personal touches to our video including having to pose as homeless people, and truly understand how difficult their lives actually are and realizing just how lucky we all are! Relating to my last point, while making our video I seriously learnt how unmanageable these peoples lives are, and it was an eye-opener for me to make sure that I stop taking all the luxury I have for granted.
Personally, I would extremely love to take part in making a difference to the masses of lives suffering from homelessness. Although many thoughts about how I could do this are circling my mind, as a teenager physically I can’t do much alone. I’d love to be able to create enough awareness to spread everywhere to make others comprehend exactly how important this subject is, and construct a platform to allow people to voice out their opinions and alter the way homeless souls have to live.

Everyone of us has worked it in a team at some point. Some find it enjoyable, others find it dificult. We all think about it differently according to our aims or abilities.
ReplyDeleteIn my prespective, i see team work as a sucefull achievement done in a group of people workingfor the same goal. Clearly, there are more of benfits of team work than self done work. I have got some positivities to mention.
Team work gives a great chance of communicaton by sharing ideas, thoughts and getting to know more about others. It Examins how is everyone able to work on their unity and coping up with a varity of different characters.Team work assistes in achieving work faster and better results than individual work.
Through my experience, a suitable example of tea work was the homelessness awareness video. It was different from many of the other group work i've gone through. I must say it gave me a new idea about my class mates. I even got a clear picture of my abilities and cope up with them. Every person got their own talets and when these talents group together and give an affective and more valuable product.
I would love to work in a group than do self done work.

My understanding of team work is when two or more people who have a common goal work together to get better results than they would working alone. Team work is about co-operating with one another as well as accepting their differences however they might disagree and there will be rough patches but pushing through them is team work.
ReplyDeleteThe benefit of teamwork are a greater and finer outcome. Skills, speed and support. Skills - Even the most experienced person cannot have all of the skills to do everything. Everyone has their own talent. Speed - If one person was allocated a particular task, it could take days and maybe weeks to make it happen. By splitting up the project, work can move forward in parallel and the ultimate goal achieved faster. Support - People will often go to what seems like extreme lengths when they know that they can rely on the support and encouragement of the team. Never underestimate the significance of this in achieving results. The drawback of team work are disagreeing on a good amount of things as we all have our opinions or one or two group members may dominate discussion.
We researched about how many homeless people there are around the world, what the homeless do on a daily basis, how they suffer mostly, the clothes they wear and how they're treated by other people.
Share one thing that you learned while making this video.
I would definitely want to contribute to helping the homeless, anything to help them and try to make their lives a least a tiny bit better. I would donate my old clothes or the ones that don't fit anymore and creating awareness! :)

ReplyDeleteI have always defined teamwork as the effective work produced by a group of people. Team work helps us to showcase our creativity among people, encourages us to make better decisions, takes every individual to a higher level in their critical thinking capacity and also brings better outcomes.
ReplyDeleteOn the other hand, team work has its own drawbacks. It can cause conflicts among the team members; there might be lack of communication between the ones that get along with each other and the ones that don’t and then comes the talkative members that keeps you from giving your best. The true essence of team work is success.
Before the making of our video on homelessness, it was the unending process of research work. We researched more on ‘What is homelessness?’ for a better understanding and watched videos for advanced information. One thing I wasn’t aware before making the video were the statistics, I truly wasn’t conscious about the number of people that are homeless but the research I did definitely helped me through it.
It would be my pleasure to help contribute to the homeless. I would certainly do this by conducting a mufti day at school and also make sure that all the contributions are given to an organization that helps the homeless.
I truly believe in the quote- Individually, we are one drop. Together, we are an ocean.

Team work to me is all about cooperation or coordinated effort put by the people in the group acting together as a team.Team work helps you to make new friends , get to know different point of veiws of the people and even help each other to get points of the tasks given. At times we may not agree with each other , even you may not like there personalities and may not even like one of your team members , but towards the end we all co-operate with each other. Before we started with our video , we researched about homelessness , how there life is ,how they dress and most importantly how we can put this video together to make it prodigious. Are first video didnt show the real side of homelessness which wasnt satisfied to me or the team but are second video was presented in a good way and we put in more detailed information , which was notable.
ReplyDeletePersonally if i could help the homeless people to atleast get a better living , i will surely contribute some money to see them smile and live a blessed life atleast a day.
I learned alot from this topic , it was pretty much touching and i was also heavyhearted to know there are so many people who are living there life homeless from birth, and also who had a cheerful life and suddenly it all changes over night.
I also enjoyed working with my team , it was so much of fun and enthusiasm and wish to have more of team projects then doing it alone.

According to me, teamwork is when you and your teammates come together as one to succeed an objective. Teamwork is very important; it is a skill master in order to succeed in life and the little things you do.
To me, the benefits of teamwork are the creativity; people have different kinds of ideas and different types of skills which always come in handy while working on a project. When you use these ideas,
it produces motivation which is led to much better accomplishment. Teamwork also takes less time because by dividing the project, everything will become easier and the goal will be achieved faster and the BEST part of teamwork is your teammates! They will be there to support you and help you when you’re in need without them, we would not be called a TEAM!
The drawbacks of teamwork, in most of the teams, there is a person who is lazy to work.
And the other thing is that some of us won’t cooperate with each other and their ideas which isn’t the best thing. As well as some of us will argue with each other which can lead to fights however we still need to work together.
Before the project, we researched on how homelessness actually is and realizing how grateful we are. We also reached on what homeless people clothes are. As well as, we reached on how homelessness affected people’s life. This was quite heartbroken to see.
Well to me, I have learned A LOT of things on homelessness, but the one thing I learned on homelessness is how these poor people live everyday like this. With no money, food, family and shelter! It is quite sad!
To help homelessness, I would respect all the homeless people by talking to them and being polite and take interest in what their saying. I would volunteer by giving all my old clothes or clothes which I don’t need to them along with some money so they would feel loved and thankful. As well as, I would donate food for the homeless.
Thank You

Team work is the ability to work as a group toward a common vision, even if that vision becomes extremely blurry. To me team work is beauty of knowledge, where you have many acting as one. You become selfless. Working in a team helps you bulid confidence, makes studies more enjoyable, supports you to look through other peoples point of veiws. Making friends, finding allies, social benefitis are key to a succesful team.
ReplyDeleteA good team always has drawbacks. There will be a time when you disagree, have complete different ideas and some difficult decisions that have to be made.
For our project we researched statistics, clothing, quotes, lifestyle and the troubles of a homeless person. We learned a lot from the research we did, such as the tremendous amounts of people that choose to leave their homes due to personal issues, to live on the streets. The way they live and what they wear as well.
The homeless are just the same as us, just with more needs, I would contribute to them by donating money, food, clothes and other appliances. I would love to get the homeless off the streets by admiting them into shelters. And assist them in acheiving their goals, maybe far enough that they may get the priviledge to work as a team one day.
Thank you.

i believe that teamwork is a joint collaboration between people or teammates to achieve a common goal or target . teamwork is very beneficial because we learn how to work with eachother and we get to learn from other people .
ReplyDeletehowever , teamwork does have its setbacks such as when teammates disagree or argue on a certain topic involving things that they have to do as well as when somebody forgets to do their part of the project which makes the work much more difficult for the rest of the group.
before we made the video we did a detailed research on homelessness as well as its causes and various statistics involved.i learned that there are millions of homeless people out there who struggle to to get through the day and that we should never take what we have for granted.i hope that sometime in the future i might set up an organization dedicated to helping the homeless .
